The Collapse Event represents the moment when a system, institution, command structure, or powerful individual can no longer sustain the weight of its own decisions.
For Hunters, this is more than a formidable enemy. It is a crisis of authority. The structures intended to provide safety may have become instruments of control. Orders may conflict with the principles they were established to protect. Those entrusted with power may refuse accountability, leaving others to bear the consequences.
The Hunter must determine what deserves preservation, what requires correction, and what must be allowed to fall.
Victory does not necessarily mean defeating the person in charge. It may require dismantling a harmful system, restoring rightful authority, protecting those caught in the collapse, or refusing an unjust command.
The central challenge is exercising power without becoming another source of oppression.
Hunter’s Question: When the structures I depend upon begin to fail, will I protect their authority or the people they were meant to serve?

The Collapse Event may represent a powerful monster, catastrophic system failure, compromised command structure, or coordinated threat that places multiple Hunters and objectives at risk.
Suggested Threat Engine:
- Escalation: The threat becomes more dangerous as the Hunt continues.
- System Failure: Established defenses, resources, or tactical advantages may become unreliable.
- Command Crisis: Hunters must decide whether to follow existing orders or assume responsibility for protecting the team.
- Resolution: Defeating the immediate threat is not enough. Hunters must also address the conditions that allowed the collapse.
