What I believe this card means

The Ace of Hearts is the beginning of the deck for me. The inhale the first breath.

The breath of life that stirs in me. I can let my stomach rest and my shoulders drop.  My nervous system allows love in without bracing for the other shoe to drop.

That’s because with this card, Love is about capacity.

Every new tenderness is evidence that I am still open to grace.

In practice, opening asks me to feel what I am feeling without grasping for attention or comfort, without feeling the need to perform, or disappearing to fit in.

I can honor what moves through me, keep the boundaries that protect relationship, and allow tenderness to become information, connection, and choice.

The card does not demand perfection or ask that you let everything in in order to be liked.

It asks for an honest, humane practice I can repeat, one choice at a time.
