James 1:23–25 (KJV)

Hunter Interpretation:
Rations represents the resources that sustain a Hunter before, during, and after a Hunt. Food, water, medicine, equipment, rest, and time are not merely conveniences. They are the material foundations that make continued service possible.
In the Myth Realm, even extraordinary beings must contend with the practical demands of existence. A Hunter may possess remarkable powers, but those powers do not eliminate the need for preparation, nourishment, or recovery.
The appearance of Rations invites the Hunter to take inventory. What is available? What is missing? What can be replenished, shared, or conserved? The challenge is not necessarily scarcity, but the wisdom to recognize what is sufficient.
Rations also introduces a question of stewardship. Resources held without purpose can become hoarding, while resources spent without consideration can leave a team vulnerable. The responsible Hunter understands that provision must be balanced with preservation.
This card may represent a supply cache, a restorative meal, a recovered resource, or an opportunity to prepare before a greater challenge. It can also remind Hunters that their own well-being is part of the team’s available resources.
Hunter’s Question: Am I caring for what sustains me, or am I spending tomorrow’s strength to meet today’s demands?
